Do you meet our selection criteria?
Entrepreneur Eligibility
The applicant must be an Indian citizen, at least 18 years old at the time of application, and a first-generation entrepreneur committed to working full-time on the proposed startup idea during the EiR program.
Startup Stage
The startup should be in the ideation, validation, or early stages, with no significant external funding exceeding ₹10 lakh, including government grants.
Nationality
Only Indian citizens are eligible to apply.
Profile of Applicant
Full-time UG/PG students with entrepreneurial pursuits, or
Founders/co-founders of DPIIT-registered startups that are not more than 2 years old.
Stage of Innovation
Applicants/startups should be at one of the following stages:
● Ideation
● Concept Development
● Validation / Problem-Solution Fit
● Proof of Concept (PoC)
● Prototyping / Working Prototype
Incubation Requirement
Selected applicants must be physically incubated at FiiRE Goa for the program duration.
Regional Criteria
Only applicants/entities from Tier II & Tier III cities are eligible.
Support Limitation
EiR support will be extended only once under the GENESIS program.
FAQs
Can I apply for the GENESIS EiR Program if my startup is already incorporated?
Yes, but your startup must be registered as a Private Limited Company or LLP under Indian laws and must not be older than 1 year at the time of application.
What kind of impact does the GENESIS program prioritize?
The program focuses on startups that can scale and create measurable impact, especially in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities, addressing challenges in sectors like healthcare, education, and sustainability.
Can startups that have received prior government funding apply for the GENESIS EiR Program?
No, startups that have already received significant funding (over ₹10 lakh) or government support for the same idea are not eligible to apply.
