Do you meet our selection criteria?
Citizenship and Education
Must be an Indian citizen with an undergraduate or postgraduate degree in science or engineering.
Entrepreneurial Background
First-generation innovative entrepreneurs with no prior source of income are eligible; final-year students cannot apply.
Founder Commitment
Applicants should pursue their entrepreneurial goals full-time, not as a temporary solution between jobs.
Business Viability
Must demonstrate potential to build a scalable technology startup with a formal business plan and presentation.
Technology Focus
Preference for innovative technology ideas with significant uncertainty or social impact; applications lacking technological innovation are discouraged.
Ownership Limit
Applicants cannot be promoters or shareholders holding more than 10% in another company.

What happens if I secure funding while receiving NIDHI-EIR support?
If you secure funding for your business while receiving NIDHI-EIR support, the grant will be discontinued from the date you receive your first tranche of funds.
Can I submit multiple applications for different business ideas?
Yes, you can submit applications for different ideas, but only one application will be considered for NIDHI-EIR support if selected.
