Who Can Participate in MSME Idea Hackathon 5.0?
Innovators of Indian Origin
Any individual of Indian origin, aged 18 to 60 years, with a valid email ID and mobile number is eligible to participate. This inclusive approach invites innovators from all corners of the country to contribute ideas that support the MSME ecosystem.
Applicants of MSME Category
Open to registered MSMEs with a valid Udyam Registration Number. If you are not yet registered, you can complete your Udyam registration to become eligible. This category ensures MSMEs gain access to exclusive support and benefits.
Applicants of Student Category
Students must provide a valid student ID for the academic year 2025–2026. This category aims to encourage young, creative thinkers to bring fresh perspectives to the MSME sector.
Applicants of Other Categories
Open to individuals who are not MSMEs or students but have innovative ideas. Freelancers, researchers, and independent innovators are welcome to apply and contribute to the future of MSMEs.
Innovation Mandate
Ideas must demonstrate at least one of the eight innovation processes: customer experience, product functionality, corporate culture, stakeholder engagement, concept ideation, customer involvement, entrepreneurial thinking, or strategic purpose.
What to Avoid
– Ideas that infringe on novelty or contradict established scientific norms
– Revealing personal identities in diagrams or concept notes
– Including external research references in your submission
– Having the same person as incubatee and mentor
